Metal Sheet blanking line is a process where square, round or rectangular blanks are mechanically or hydraulically cut, pressed or stamped out of a metal coil, before cutting, pressing or stamping, first leveling sheet to flat. The blank can be flat sheets of very precise length and corner-to-corner tolerance, this is cut to length line. When trapezoidal sheet metal is made from blanking line, the shear will be angular cutting, the angular shear base sways to-and-fro certain degree to ensure cutting trapezoidal sheets in pairs, the stacking system will be double stackers, one stacker receives one trapezoid sheet and the other stacker receives the other trapezoid piece of pairs sheets. The whole line must be very high precision.
Angular shear blanking line process:
A master coil is placed on an uncoiler from stock by coil loading car. After peeling the head of the coil, the coil head is feed into a flattener or leveler to remove stresses in the material and assure the part to be cut out will remain flat in downstream steps. Servo feeding rolls feed the sheet material into sway shear in set length. The cutting strokes per minute can be up to 60 strokes per minute, averagely runs at 40 strokes per minute (spm), so each sheet takes 1.5 seconds. Hypothetically, for mild steel sheet, 1 second of that 1.5-second cycle is needed for feeding, and 0.5 second is needed for cutting. High-strength steel (AHSS) may require 1 second for cutting and the feeding time increases to 2 seconds, a total cycle of 3 seconds. The uncoiling of the strip never stops and continuously keeps material in the loop. This way there is no "jerking" of the strip from uncoiling and thus without length tolerance and possibly damaging material.
