Leveling machines are widely used in metal processing and other fields. Correct use of leveling machines can not only ensure processing quality, but also extend the service life of the equipment. The following will introduce you in detail the correct use of leveling machines.
1. Preparation before operation
Check the equipment: Before turning on the leveling machine, carefully check whether the appearance of the equipment is damaged and whether the connection parts are firm. Pay special attention to the transmission parts, such as chains and belts, to check whether there are signs of looseness or wear.
Cleaning equipment: clean up the debris, dust and metal shavings left over from the last processing on the workbench of the leveling machine to ensure that the flatness of the plate will not be affected by foreign matter during leveling.
Debugging equipment: Adjust the roller spacing of the leveling machine according to the material and thickness of the plate to be leveled. Generally speaking, the thicker the plate, the larger the roller spacing needs to be adjusted. It can be precisely adjusted through the adjustment handle or button on the equipment. At the same time, check the lubrication system of the equipment to ensure that the appropriate amount of lubricating oil has been added to each lubrication point to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
2. Operation process
Loading: Place the plate to be leveled steadily at the feed port of the leveling machine. The plate should be parallel to the feed port to avoid skewing. If the plate is heavy, auxiliary equipment such as a crane can be used for loading to ensure safe operation.
Start the equipment: Turn on the power of the leveling machine, start the motor, and observe whether the equipment runs smoothly and whether there is any abnormal noise or vibration. After the equipment runs stably, press the feed button to allow the plate to slowly enter the leveling machine.
Leveling operation: The plate is repeatedly rolled by multiple rollers in the leveling machine and gradually leveled. During this process, the operator should closely observe the leveling effect of the plate, and can conduct sampling inspection of the plate at the discharge port. If the plate is still found to be uneven, it is necessary to stop the machine in time, fine-tune the roller spacing, and then re-level it.
Unloading: After the qualified leveled plates are discharged from the discharge port, they should be promptly transported to the designated location for storage. During transportation, pay attention to protecting the surface of the plates to avoid secondary damage such as scratches and bumps.
3. Post-operation maintenance
Turn off the equipment: After the leveling work is completed, press the stop button to stop the motor, and then turn off the power.
Clean the equipment: Clean the leveling machine workbench and surrounding area again to remove any remaining metal shavings and other debris. At the same time, wipe the surface of the equipment with a clean rag to keep the equipment clean.
Regular maintenance: Regularly perform comprehensive maintenance on the leveling machine, including changing lubricating oil, checking the wear of wearing parts and replacing them in time, etc., to ensure that the equipment is always in good operating condition.
